Challenge
CorVascular required an effective all-in-one PC solution to provide a user interface and processing provider for their VasoGuard series of PVD diagnosis machines. However, they ran into several issues while working with other computer manufacturers:
- Lack of Consistency: Off-the-shelf AIOs lacked the reliability and quality assurance that CorVascular needed. Units with the same designation would have different specifications or bill of materials.
- No Medical-Grade Certifications: Commercial-grade computers lacked the necessary certifications, such as IEC 60601-1, to work in a healthcare environment.
- Reliability Issues: Another provider of medical-grade computers suffered from numerous BIOS and firmware issues that they failed to address adequately.
Solution
Via a recommendation by a sister company, CorVascular reached out and soon realized that Cybernet’s medical-grade computers and commitment to reliability and consistency were precisely what they needed.
Cybernet’s long-term support for its products and OEM qualifications ensured full adherence to its bill of materials, and its customer support meant any issues that arose would be quickly and effectively addressed. The compliance with medical-grade certifications for all medical computers was also a key feature that CorVascular appreciated.
Results
Since 2014, CorVascular has relied on Cybernet computers to serve on their VasoGuard devices. The consistency, reproducibility, and customer support that Cybernet provides are invaluable for CorVascular as they market their finished products to healthcare providers.
In the rare moments when CorVascular has had a technical issue related to our computers, Cybernet’s customer support has been able to address it quickly and effectively. CorVascular is now upgrading to the new CyberMed GB Series medical computers to ensure at least another five years of product lifecycle support, with many more to come.
In the last year and a half, we've been pushing medical-grade quality because that’s the caliber that we'd like to be selling. Many off-the-shelf units just don’t have that qualification because they just aren't designed and engineered to that degree. With Cybernet, we get a product we can count on supported by a team that understands it inside and out.
